These are difficult times. We are limited on activites. For most people around the world, it is impossible to attend classes, or to practice with another person outside your household.
We want to change that!
For as long as we can during the duration of this crisis, we are providing virtual training and classes without charge. And, we are working on technology that will revolutionize how martial arts are taught!
WHO?
If you need something to keep you calm and relaxed, want some good exercise, would like to learn viable self-defense, or are ready to take on the “master’s secrets”, please join us.
There will be live classes as well as recordings, so you can participate, from anywhere in the world, at a time convenient for you.

What are the Details?
Who is this for?
- Anyone needing a break from “shelter at home”. Here you will find a group of like-minded supporters.
- Anyone wanting to strengthen their immune system. Science shows that appropriate, moderate exercise has a positive effect on your immune system, helping to prevent infection, or to mitigate the impact of infection.
- Anyone wanting exercise. Physical and mental activity help with symptoms of depression, discouragement, “cabin fever”, and feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Besides, it’s much better for you than binging on comfort foods and late-night movies.
- Anyone wanting to experience martial arts. Whether you are a newbie, a wanna-be, or just “martial arts curious”, there is a place for you here. You will experience martial arts in a safe, supportive environment without pressure or embarrassment.
- Experienced martial artists. For most of us, classes are not an option now. Whether you are beginner, or a senior black belt, we will have something new for you. And, we can all support each other in this time.
How will I benefit?
- Research shows that appropriate, moderate exercise strengthens the immune system and mitigates the impact of infections (very important in these times).*
- Physical activity helps with mental clarity and reducing the impact of stress and social isolation.*
- I will have a choice of high-tech conditioning exercises, in a combination of strength, flexibility and cardio.
- I will have opportunity for energy training (Chi or Ki).
- I will learn meditation and breathing exercises.
- I can participate in live Q&A sessions.
- I can join in the live sessions, or watch the recordings.
- I can connect with other participants, and build supportive relationships.
- I will learn from acknowledged masters and certified instructors.
- I can learn real martial arts, and practical self-defense.
What is the Plan?
There will be a live video each day:
- 3 Days per week the focus will be on conditioning exercises. The conditioning exercises will be traditional martial arts exercises, but presented in a manner consistent with cutting edge physiological research.
- 3 Days per week will focus on energy (Ki or Chi) training, flexibility, and a few other exercises that relate to martial arts and functional wellness.
- Sunday will focus on meditation, breathing exercises and energy (Ki or Chi) work.
At least once each week there will be a special live video:
- Special training. This will be training in self-defense, and beginning through advanced topics related to martial arts.
- Special topics and Q&A. This will include topics based upon the interest of the participants, and will include opportunities to ask questions.
We are actively developing a new technology that will revolutionize martial arts training. This will allow your training to continue in spite of social distancing!

WHO ARE WE?
We are a small group of committed life-long martial artists and instructors with a diverse background in arts from Aikido, to Tai Chi Chuan, to Kyusho Jitsu, to an ancient family art (Tamashi Jitsu), and more.
Classes will be guided by 8th degree and 7th degree masters, Dale Gillilan and Anne Louise Gillilan, assisted by Matt Webster, a black belt instructor. The Gillilans both hold black belts in multiple arts.
He has over 50 years teaching experience and was named Instructor of the Year in 1994. Their school was designated one of the Top 10 Schools in North America. Together they have almost 120 years of training and teaching experience.
They have students and affiliated schools in North America and Europe.
Meet the Instructors
Dale Gillilan
Dale Gillilan holds an 8th Dan (degree) black belt in Aikido.
He has over 60 years of training in martial arts, and well over 50 years of teaching experience. In 1994, he was named “Instructor of the Year”, and the dojo (school) that he and Anne Louise run was designated on of the “Top 10 Martial Arts Schools in North America”.
Besides the martial arts, he has demonstrated skills in educational methods, having taught in private schools and at a large university. In addition, he was a registered counselor.
He is the head of Tamashi Jitsu, a family art with ancient roots. He has trained in 5 systems of Aikido, and is certified to teach in 4 of those. He holds black belt ranks in several other martial arts.
He is the USA National Director for the Kyusho Jitsu World Alliance.
Anne Louise Gillilan
Anne Louise Gillilan holds the rank of 7th Dan (degree) black belt in Aikido.
She has been training in martial arts for over 30 years, and holds black belt rank in several martial arts. She has been teaching, and helping run a dojo for most of her martial arts experience. She was a registered counselor, adding to her skills as an instructor.
She is part of the Soke Council of Tamashi Jitsu.
Matt Webster
Matt Webster has been training in martial arts for almost 25 years. His rank includes a black belt in AikiTaiJi.
He has been an Uchi Deshi (a live-in student by invitation of the master) for almost 2 years. He is continuing his studies of Aikido and Tenshido, and is certifying to be an instructor in Kyusho Jitsu. His passion, and his career path, bring an deep understanding of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics to his instruction of martial arts.
He is currently a Sempai for Tamashi Jitsu and is an instructor in Tamashi Jitsu. In this capacity, he is creatively leading classes for students scattered and limited by “sheltering at home”.
